Moving Planet Day

“Senator Sanders addressed a crowd of over three hundred people on the statehouse lawn in Montpelier. They were gathered to celebrate Moving Planet Day – a day to “”move the world beyond fossil fuels and toward a clean energy future.”” Vermont must, the Senator noted, continue to lead our nation, and the world, as we transition to energy efficiency and sustainable energy. The Montpelier event was one of over 2000 such gatherings that took place in 175 countries on September 24th, 2011.”
