Sen. Sanders Meets With Vermont Upward Bound Students

“A group of about 10 Vermont Upward Bound students met with Senator Sanders to discuss their recent participation in a successful high school greening competition hosted by Johnson State College. The students, from high schools throughout northern Vermont, each submitted a formal proposal detailing projects they would undertake to make their schools greener. They also held creative performances illustrating their understanding of current environmental challenges. – -The Upward Bound program prepares students for success in high school and enrollment in college by offering a range of academic, counseling, social, and recreational activities.”
