“Town Meeting on Border Control VT”

“Coming off a week long tour of Vermont and listening to local leaders discuss Vermont’s economy and infrastructure needs, Sen. Sanders hosted a town meeting in Derby Line, VT on the economic and social impact of long lines and sometimes hours-long delays at checkpoints along the border of the U.S. and Canada. Invited was Border Protection Assistant Commissioner Thomas Winkowski to see the situation firsthand. – -Each of the panelists took their turn describing the issues that have arisen due to tightening border security.
