Building an Economy that Works for Everyone

While Vermont’s economy has improved significantly since the Great Recession and our unemployment rate is at historic lows, Vermont is one of just ten where the median household income actually fell in 2017. Meanwhile, our poverty rate is higher than it was in 2007 – before the Great Recession. The Public Assets Institute is helping shed light on Vermont’s economy, and is pushing for policies to make sure the economy works for every Vermonter, especially working families and the most vulnerable.
