As we inaugurate the next president of the United States and begin a new session of Congress, it’s critically important that we listen to the voices of our young people, who are the future leaders of our nation. We owe it to them to listen to their perspectives and understand their points of view. I am proud to create opportunities for Vermont students, including my State of the Union Essay Contest, and hope you will join me in thanking these young Vermonters for sharing their ideas with us.
