Bernie throws out the first pitch

“Bernie threw out the first pitch to kick-off the Vermont/Dominican Baseball Exchange which was organized by the Vermont Institute on the Caribbean and the Burlington American Little League. Sixteen Little League Baseball players (ages 10-12) and their coaches from Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic will be in Vermont for a week playing ball and immersing themselves in the local culture. Tonight, June 26th, is Dominican Night at the Vermont Lake Monsters Baseball Game where the Puerto Plata Little Leaguers will be honored along with the Lake Monsters’ own Dominican baseball players. – -The Dominican coaches gave Bernie an award for his assistance in helping the team get travel visas.”
