Sen. Sanders meets with Upward Bound students

“Two groups of approximately 175 Upward Bound students from high schools around the state of Vermont met with the Vermont congressional delegation to discuss current affairs in Washington and better understand the delegates’ roles in Congress. Jessica Sprunger of Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax, Vermont presented the Upward Bound pin to Senator Sanders for his leadership on higher education and support for the Upward Bound program. Upward Bound prepares high school students for success in high school and enrollment in college by offering a range of academic, counseling, social, and recreational activities.”
