WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 – The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) on Thursday, September 21, at 11:00 a.m. ET, will mark up critical legislation to address the primary care crisis in America, including the major shortage of nurses, doctors, dentists, mental health professionals, and other important health care workers across the country.
The four bills that the Committee will be voting on are:
- S. 1573, PREEMIE Reauthorization Act of 2023
- S. 2415, Preventing Maternal Deaths Reauthorization Act of 2023
- S. 1624, Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0
- S. 2840, Bipartisan Primary Care and Health Workforce Act
