Join Me for a Breakfast and Hike on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail
Are you ready for some fun, community building, and exercise? Are you ready to enjoy the natural beauty of Vermont’s Great Outdoors? If so, please join me and your neighbors for breakfast and a hike to celebrate the official opening of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT), a four-season 93-mile path connecting 18 Vermont communities and five counties.
Some Good News: Solar for All
As Vermonters know all too well, we are already experiencing the devastating impact of climate change. I am very proud, therefore, to have recently welcomed to Vermont Michael S. Regan, the Administrator of the EPA, for a major announcement. We unveiled the $7 billion Solar for All program which I introduced as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
On the Road with Veterans, First Responders, Health Care Workers, and Young People
Every time I am out on the road, I am not only inspired by my fellow Vermonters, but I learn a great deal. It is these conversations that help me better fight for our communities in Washington. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with me and for everything you do each and every day for your communities.
Vermonters: Join Me, Sen. Welch, and Rep. Balint for a Town Meeting on the Youth Mental Health Crisis
The reality is that we are facing a mental health crisis in America, and Vermont is not immune. This is especially true for our young people, who are living with enormous stress, anxiety, and loneliness as they deal with isolation and school disruptions caused by the global pandemic.
Behind the Music with Grace Potter
Today, we are going behind the music with one of Vermont’s many great artists: singer-songwriter Grace Potter. Born and raised in Fayston, Vermont, Grace burst onto the music scene in the early 2000s as a solo musician and with her band at the time, The Nocturnals. Since then, Grace has become a Grammy-nominated artist, written many albums, toured the country, and shared stages with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Robert Plant, and The Allman Brothers Band.
On The Hiking Trail
As we all know, Vermont is one of the most beautiful states in the country. We have extraordinary natural resources that attract people from throughout the world. On Saturday, June 10th, I went for a hike on the Long Trail in Stowe – along with 150 other Vermonters of all ages who braved the rain. We had a great time. We enjoyed bagels and coffee for breakfast, followed by a scenic hike through the woods.
